The university students win awards of the VI International Finno-Ugric students' forum «The Wealth of Finno-Ugric people»

From 15 to 16 of May, Republic of Mari El hosted the VI international Finno-Ugric student forum entitled «Wealth of Finno-Ugric people». Every year, Yoshkar-Ola city gathers young people from different regions of the Russian Federation to share research findings in the field of Finno-Ugric Philology, history, archeology and culture.

This year the forum-conference was attended by around 290 undergraduate students and postgraduates from 11 Russian regions and 14 educational institutions: Karelia, Mari El, Komi, Udmurtia, Chuvashia, Tatarstan, Nizhny Novgorod and Mordovia. N.P. Ogarev Mordovia State University sent 8 students from the Faculty of Philology.

The Forum offered a wide variety of tracks: Finno-Ugric and comparative linguistics, stylistics of fine literature by Finno-Ugric people, Finno-Ugric and comparative literary studies, philological education in the ethno-cultural environment, archeology, history, arts and crafts of the Finno-Ugric people and many others.

Students from Ogarev Mordovia State University presented some prize-winning papers.
